Giresun Wastewater Project
HIDROGUNES successfully managed this European Union-supported project under FIDIC (Red Book and Yellow Book) contract terms. The project consisted of two works contracts — the Wastewater Treatment Plant (Lot 1) and the Wastewater Collection System (Lot 2) — both successfully completed alongside the management of the consultancy contract.
Scope of Work
- Lot 1: Advanced biological wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 23,500 m³/day, serving 175,000 people
- Treatment stages including preliminary treatment, biological phosphorus removal, pre-denitrification, nitrification, and final settling
- Sludge stabilization in an anaerobic digester, with biogas used for Combined Heat and Power (CHP)
- Lot 2: 29 km of wastewater collectors and sewer network pipelines, including 4.7 km of mandatory network
- 7 new wastewater pumping stations and crossings for roads, railways, rivers, and streams
